Catch the brightest and best stand-up comedians every weekend at one of London’s longest running, premiere stand up comedy clubs; a favourite with comedians and audiences alike and always one of the best lineups in town. All your favourite household-name comics have performed in The Bedford’s iconic round room, now known as The Club Room – many of them still do!
Now 37 years resident in The Bedford’s beautiful and iconic round Club Room, Banana Cabaret continues to justify its status as one of the finest comedy clubs in the world and the place to catch the cream of comedy.
Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre, Jo Brand, Eddie Izzard, Catherine Tate, Jack Dee, Rob Brydon and Sarah Millican all cut their standup teeth here, delighting audiences on the Banana Cabaret stage.
The club is committed to being a springboard for new and emerging talent and remains a favourite with established artists, popping in for weekend gigs and performing at our annual Balham Comedy Festival.
Appearances include Lee Mack, Joe Lycett, Rich Hall, Jason Manford, Sara Pascoe, Tim Vine, Tom Allen and Russell Kane… to name but a few!
First built in 1931, this iconic venue is well known for being a cornerstone of London’s thriving live music, comedy and entertainment scenes. It’s played host the best in the business from U2 to The Clash, Sam Smith to Ellie Goulding. Ed Sheeran was a regular performer and even recorded his first album there.
Following a multi-million pound refurbishment it is now an unrivalled pub, club, restaurant, live music and comedy venue with 15 stunning hotel rooms. We highly recommend coming for dinner before the show and then partying until 2am for an incredible evening. Find out more here.
