About us

Who we are

Now entering its 34th year, the Banana Cabaret has justifiably earn its status as one of the best places to catch the future of British Comedy.

Harry Hill, Al Murray – The Pub Landlord, Jack Whitehall, Joe Brand, Stewart Lee, Jack Dee, Greg Davies, Eddie Izzard, Catherine Tate, Rob Brydon, Omid Djalil & Frank Skinner – just to name a few – have all tickled audiences on these stages, in the vast Shakespearean Globe Theatre and Ballroom.

The Banana Cabaret continues to be the spring board for new and emerging comedians as well as a favourite with the established artists. Recent performers have included Steven K Amos, Jason Manford, Rich Hall and Tim Vine.

Where we are

A huge converted Victorian Hotel, The Bedford is now a cornerstone for London’s thriving live music, comedy and entertainment scenes.

In the late sixties and seventies it was a spit and sawdust live music venue serving as a springboard for early gigs by acts including The Clash and U2. Now it is a hotbed of creative performance, from theatre to live music, comedy and DJs.

All students £5 on the door
