Terrific stand-up comedy on your doorstep this weekend. We’re delighted to welcome back Ian Stone, as well as a host of comic genius in the shape of Ian Stone, Paul Ricketts, Ingrid Dahle & Imran on Friday, and Gordon Southern joining Ian Stone and Imran, with the terrific Stuart Mitchell completing a stunning lineup on the Saturday.
Ranked amongst the top ten stand-ups in Britain by The Independent, Ian Stone is one of the most talented topical acts and comperes in the country. Edgy and provocative, with an easy-going manner and self-depreciating style, Ian is at great ease bantering with an audience. He’s also a member of the Comedy Store’s critically acclaimed ‘Cutting Edge’ team. Ian also received a nomination in 2012 for the BEST SHOW at the Leicester Comedy Festival Awards.
He has performed all over the world including Comedy Festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, South Africa, Holland, France, Ireland and Germany. He’s entertained the troops in Kuwait, Bosnia,Kosovo, Cyprus and most recently Afghanistan. Also, he was the first British stand-up to perform in Moscow and the first performer to appear for The Comedy Store in Mumbai.

Bursting onto the scene in 2011, Ingrid Dahle quickly established herself as ‘one to watch’ by mixing the best of traditional stand-up with innovative physical comedy.
Ingrid soon earned herself a place in the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny final after only a handful of gigs. Her set at the final was selected to appear on the Culture Show’s coverage of the Edinburgh Festival for BBC 2. The competition attracted the attention of the industry and Ingrid was quickly signed to Claire Stephens Management.

In 2013 Ingrid took her first show to the Edinburgh Fringe with fellow award-winning comic Paul Jones. Dahle and Jones on a Plate was a brilliant mix of surreal narrative, straight stand-up and ingenious physical comedy that earned the pair glowing four star reviews and an unbroken run of packed audiences.

Gordon Southern is the international word clown. His upbeat and energetic delivery combined with his fantastically funny observational comedy & quick witted improvisation has secured his place as an audience favourite all over the world. A talented actor and award winning writer with critical acclaim for numerous projects that he has worked on, Southern has written for some of the most memorable comedy shows of the last decade. Gordon is a regular headlining comedian on UK and International circuit, spending several months every year performing in Australia. A highly regarded international act, he’s worked in many exotic & challenging places, including Afghanistan, The Falkland Islands, Kosovo & Liverpool. Gordon made his Edinburgh debut in the highly respected Comedy Zone in 1997 and has since gone on to take up several successful and acclaimed solo shows, with 2013’s “The Kerfuffle” garnering a galaxy of stars and 2012’s “A Brief History of History” receiving award nominations at the New Zealand Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe. He has enjoyed sell out runs at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from 2011- 2013.
Stuart Mitchell was a finalist in the NATYS competition in 2012 and is one of the most exciting new stand-up comedians performing across the UK. The Glaswegian comic’s sharp one-liners, brilliant turn of phrase and clever wordplay made him a perfect choice to support Stewart Francis and Hal Cruttenden on their national tours. Stuart has also recently written for Mock The Week. Stuart was part of the Stand-up For Scotland show at the Adelaide Comedy Festival in 2013 and has recently appeared in the AAA Stand-up Late show at the Edinburgh Fringe. His radio credits include Hardeep At The Stand, The Comedy Cafe and MacAulay and Co, all on BBC Radio Scotland. He has also presented a Glasgow Comedy Festival Special for the Comedy Zone on BBC Radio Scotland. Stuart’s acting credits include In Search Of Bible John (STV) and Tricky Business Series 2 (Channel 4).
