Loretta Maine has been called by the Scotsman “wicked and dark, with few gimmicks”. She subsequently gained a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, before performing the show at London’s Soho Theatre for a limited season. A disturbed American singer-songwriter described by The Guardian newspaper as “Dolly Parton seen through the lens of Mike Leigh”. The character of Maine has established Evans as a popular headliner on the London comedy club circuit.
Curtis Walker’s hugely appealing style and seemingly effortless talent have ensured he’s won over audiences as one of the country’s leading stand-ups and actors. You name it he’s been in it – The Real McCoy, Jonathan Ross, They Think It’s All Over, Paramount City, Blouse & Skirt, Lenny Henry Show, Ed Stone Is Dead.
Curtis Walker is ‘The Don’ of black comedy. He is a multi-talented performer and his indefinable comedy “moves an audience in a way I’ve never seen a stand-up do before” – William Cook, The Guardian – See more at: http://www.glee.co.uk/performers/curtis-walker.htm#sthash.u8V1BpE9.dpuf
