Saturday 23rd September : Roger Monkhouse, Tez Ilyas, Milo McCabe, Edd Daggers

Roger Monkhouse

tand-up Comedian, Actor, Presenter, Writer and Voiceover Artiste

A consummate stand-up who employs a deadly combination of charm and menace to exert a masterful control over any audience. A highly original and quirky performer, Roger Monkhouse`s trademark stage-prowling style and curious, inimitable manner have established him as one of the hottest names on the comedy circuit. Supremely confident, with audience banter down to an art form, Roger is happy to improvise freely but has no shortage of first class material in his armoury. A master of observational comedy with a routine that is universally and unfailingly hysterical. A sought after compere and headliner across the UK and internationally.

“Unfailingly entertaining and skilfully able to pull punch lines, seemingly, out of thin air” Chortle

Tez Ilyas

Tez Ilyas’s political stand-up is candyfloss with a razorblade inside: sweet and familiar at first, then shockingly, painfully sharp. It’s the kind of manoeuvre that takes serious talent to pull off.
★★★★ | The Telegraph

Ilyas has a slickness more reminiscent of US comics, and the gags to back it up, though his most prized asset could yet be his bold, subversive streak.
★★★★ | Guardian

Radiantly entertaining.
★★★★ | The Times

Tez Ilyas hit the ground running, finding himself in no less than eight competition finals including the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award and Leicester Mercury New Comedian of the Year in his first few years.

In 2015, he achieved phenomenal success with his debut stand up show TEZ Talks. After wowing audiences at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, a sell-out run at the Soho Theatre and his own BBC Radio 4 series followed, with a second series coming out early 2018.

In 2016, his highly anticipated follow up show Made in Britain went on to sell-out every single performance (including extra shows) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and gained spectacular critical acclaim, followed by a smash hit nationwide tour in 2017.

His third solo show, Teztify, once again delivered a spectacularly powerful, provocative and brilliantly funny hour of topical stand up, wowing packed out audience’s night after night at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Tez has appeared on The Last Leg (C4), Mock the Week (BBC Two), Live From the BBC (BBC Two), Man Like Mobeen (BBC Three), Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), Kevin Hart’s Live from Montreal (LOL Network), Virtually Famous (E4), The Now Show (BBC Radio 4) and piloted a brand new quiz show for Vice.

He has also written and starred in his own scripted comedy shorts for BBC Three (The Go Home Office), BBC iPlayer (The Fast and the Fool) and Sky Arts (Tez Ilyas’ Christmas).

Milo McCabe

Milo McCabe is a character comedian with over ten years experience on the circuit. He has twice been nominated for the Amused Moose Best Edinburgh show award and was listed as GQ’s Top Ten comedy shows of the festival. TV credits include ITV’S Benidorm, BBC3’s Live at the Electric and various hidden camera and talking heads projects on Channel 4 and 5. As himself, he is shortly to appear in US documentary ‘Everyone has an Andy Dick story’. As Troy Hawke he is currently touring comedy clubs and festivals in preparation for his 2017 show.
