John Fothergill

John has slotted into the comedy circuit like a three pinned plug combining a unique style of embarrassing sexual revelations with a rural innocence. He has also toured the Nations universities, toured of Ireland and performed in Hong Kong and regularly at the Edinburgh Festival. In 1997 John performed a month long run at the Adelaide International Comedy Festival, and in 1999 he appeared on BBC 1’s The Stand Up Show, and became a regular member of the Comedy Store’s highly regarded Cutting Edge team.

Joe’s writing career began when his first book Touch and Go Joe about his experiences of OCD was published, since then he has made a name for himself as a stand-up comic, writer and speaker. Joe now focuses mainly on his unique brand of political comedy and in 2012, Joe was asked to support Alexei Sayle on his comeback tour.

Joe is now frequently performing stand up in comedy clubs around the UK.

Night of the Living Tories was Joe’s debut hour long stand up show, in which he dug up the corpses of the British Conservative Party of the past and put them on display to horrifying consequence. Joe took his follow up show, 10 Thing I Hate About UKIP, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2016.

Joe Wells latest project is called Think Tank, it’s a live show and podcast where comedians put forward ideas to a panel of real life politicians. To find out more go to

Gordon Southern

Gordon Southern is the international word clown. He is one of the busiest comics in the UK playing everywhere worth playing. He is a regular at the world famous London Comedy Store, a resident MC at Edinburgh’s notorious Late N Live and a fixture on the global festival circuit.

A talented actor and award winning writer with critical acclaim for numerous projects, Southern has written for some of the most memorable comedy shows of the last decade.

Banana Cabaret, Balham, is one of London’s longest running, premiere stand up comedy clubs; a favourite with comedians and audiences alike and always one of the best lineups in town. All your favourite household-name comics have performed in our iconic round room. Many of them still do!

When tickets are sold out online, we always have tickets available on the door.

Doors open at 7.30pm. The show runs from 9.00pm-11.00pm (late bars and DJs until 2am).

Please arrive by 8:30pm to secure your allocated seats.

Be aware that food orders for the theatre will only be taken until 8.15pm.
