David Vickers and his team have built a comedy club with a worldwide reputation amongst comedians and audience alike – justly recognised for it’s unpretentious, welcoming attitude, and its wonderful setting. Now entering its 33rd year, the Banana Cabaret has justifiably earn its status as one of the best places to catch the future of British Comedy.
Harry Hill, Al Murray – The Pub Landlord, John Moloney, Rich Hall, Adam Bloom, Jack Dee, Will Smith, Eddie Izzard, Catherine Tate, Rob Brydon, Omid Djalil & Frank Skinner – just to name a few – have all tickled audiences on these stages, in the vast Shakespearean Globe Theatre and Ballroom.
The Banana Cabaret continues to be the spring board for new and emerging comedians as well as a favourite with the established artists. Recent performers have included Perrier-winning Daniel Kitson, Marcus Brigstock & Stephen K Amos.
