The rugby World Cup kicks off with a bang this weekend, and we’ve got a terrific bill down at Banana Cabaret – upstairs in the ballroom Friday and in the theatre on Saturday.

As one of Britain’s most established and sought-after stand-ups, Paul Thorne can be seen at all the UK’s major venues. He regularly performs at London’s prestigious Comedy Store and is a member of The Cutting Edge team of comedians who perform topical material there every week. He has taken his unique brand of edgy and provocative topical gags, on the spot improvisation and surreal comedy songs as far afield as Dubai, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, China and Japan, as well as two critically acclaimed tours of Canadian Fringe Festivals. His new album of comedy songs will be released in October 2015.

TV appearances include :
Comedy Central at The Comedy Store
The World Stands Up
The Stand Up Show
Saturday Live
Not Tonight with John Sergeant

Zoe Lyons created a huge buzz on the comedy circuit in 2004 when she won the ‘Nivea Funny Women Award 2004’ and reached the finals of ‘Channel 4’s So You Think You’re Funny Award’ in the same year. As a result she has become a highly sought after act on both the national and international circuit.

Zoe takes a sideways view of life, picking out the many absurdities and turning them into hilarious routines which she delivers with tremendous energy.
